Its Amzing What Love Can Do
From the moment the school bus pulled
up on the second and third day, with all of the kids in it my hear t was racing,
excited but yet still nervous and anxious to start the day. When all of the
kids stepped off the school bus with the biggest similes on their faces all of
my worries went away and I was just a happy and excited kid. I can’t believe it’s
only Wednesday and I will already give unconditionally love and will do
anything for them, no matter what.
So far I have worked in the
pre-school room and have worked with the kids who are deaf. I love each and every one of them from 3 years
old to 16 years old. They all have impacted my heart and have left their own
personally print. On Tuesday I worked in the pre-school room. I built such
strong relationships in this room and some unforgettable memories. One kid that I have connected with so much is
Victor. He is the sweetest and cutest kid in the world and although he doesn’t
really talk, he has no problem showing his emotions because he always has a
smile on his face. For example and this makes my heart melt, I was sitting with
a girl named Rosa Maria, just giving her love because she is confined to a
wheel chair due to motor skills problems. When Victor came over to me, laid his
head on my lap and kind of cuddled with me. And at that moment I realized that
all these kids want is real love. I have also built an extremely strong relationship
with Diana Pricilla. She is the nicest and happiest girl in the world but unfortunately
suffers from being cognitively delayed. I love her so much words can’t even explain
it and if I could I would just keep saying how much I want to be with her. At recess
today I was walking around with her and holding her hand. When the bell rang to
go back to class, I gave her the biggest hug and gave her a kiss on the cheek
and told her I loved her. Then she looked up and said I love you to.
I have learned so many amazing and eye
opening lesson from these kids that I will take home with me. I have learned to never take the smallest
things for granted or complain. Because walking into the homes during home
visits and seeing what these kids go though and how little they have, is an unforgettable
feeling. I have learned to realize that I have the smallest problems in the
world and that girl drama isn’t the end of the world. I know a lot of kids wouldn’t
think about this but when you are in front of these kids and families, seeing
the amount of problems they have to deal with, it really makes you notice.
This is such an amazing experience to
see how important love is to these kids and it’s the best thing I can do for
them. This is one lesson that I will always take with me and will never forget
- that giving love is the most important thing you can give.
