My Inspirations

I have had to answer this question many times over and over
again but this time I have really thought about who my real inspirations are in
life.


One of my true inspirations is my last nanny Jamie. She was
my nanny, but to me she was really like an older sister. She lived with my
family and me for two years. Jamie was the best nanny I could ever ask for. She
helped me with the smallest thing from homework to helping me resolve fights with
my sister and friends. She was always there for me and was good at listening and just
making sure I was OK. She inspires me because she has the biggest heart and is
always willing to help people, no matter what is going on in her personal life. Jamie
was the main influence for me to want to go on this trip because she always told me
stories about her experience with CGA.  When I was younger I thought that was such an
amazing and courageous thing to do. Today she is working at a school with kids
that need help socially. I am so happy that those kids now have someone as nice
as her to go to with problems.


My seconded greatest inspiration is one of my teachers
named Heather. She is one of the
smartest and nicest teachers I have ever had. She inspires me because she spent
a couple of years in Spain and Chile and came out fluent in Spanish. She is
very determined to do anything she sets her mind to. I hope one day I can be as
adventurous and courageous as Heather.


Last but not least at all is my sister Haley. She is a huge
inspiration to me because she is 6 foot 3 and is an amazing volleyball player
and basketball player. She is also so determined and has persevered through
some really tough times. When she was in 11th grade she got cut from
volleyball.  Even though it took her a
long time to get over it, she came back strong and coached middle school this
year, she has a full time job and is now getting accepted to some great colleges!
My sister is an amazing person and I love her with all of my heart and will
miss her like crazy when she goes to college.


If I could be any animal in the world what would I be? I
honestly think that I would be a monkey. This is because they just get to swing
from tree to tree and be free. They also get to live in warm weather and
sometimes by the ocean. We all know where there is an ocean there are tourist.
Monkeys just get to go around and steal there good beach smoothies and their
food.  Also monkeys get to live at the
top of the trees and see the sun rise and set which would be pretty cool. I am
sure that gives a whole different look on life too.

A New Beginning

“Live your life each day as if you were climbing a mountain, an occasional glance toward the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new destination.” -Harold V. Melchert. About 2 weeks ago I was accepted to go to a service trip to Morocco. When I got the call that I was accepted it was like a step toward the summit, a glance toward the top. I will going to Morocco during summer of 2016.   This will be my second trip with Children’s Global Alliance. My first trip I went to Nicaragua and there I learned some of the biggest lessons in my life so far. The Final Words

I can’t believe this amazing experience has come to an end. In some ways I also so feel like it is a begging for me because, I am so much more open minded to everything that comes my way and am so much more grateful for all the things I have. All the kids from 3 years old to 16 years old have impacted my heart forever and I will never forget them. I have experienced so many incredible things this week. Some of the most amazing things have also been the most heart wrenching things. For example I went on a home visit on Thursday. The girls name was Julissa she was 24 years old and had Cerebral Palsy. She looked like she had a beautiful personality and could have lots of potential. She was very skinny and her legs were the size of my arm. She also had bed sores all over her face because her parents leave her in her so called “room” for most of the time.
